Packing List for Galapagos

What is on my packing list for my visit to the Galapagos Islands?

It’s important to pack the right things for the most comfort and the best experience. We have created a general Galapagos Islands packing list for your trip.

When planning your trip to the Galapagos Islands luggage restrictions for the flights are an important consideration. Keep it light. Most airlines limit checked luggage to one piece, with a maximum weight of 23 kilogram and one hand luggage with a maximum weight of 10 kilogram.

We recommend not to take any food with you. After arrival on the Galapagos Islands, your hand luggage will be checked for anything edible by the customer service.

The weather in the Galapagos Islands stays fairly stable which makes it a wonderful place to visit any time of the year. There are slight differences between the seasons, with the warm “peak” season from December to May and the cooler season from June to November.

The atmosphere aboard of the Galapagos cruise boats and in the hotels is casual.
